Serial.write(0x49) // this also works the same Serial.print("I") I've written some code where the Setup initializes it using ![]() ![]() Of course 0x13 isn't a typable character which is a problem so I decided to see if I could send the escape codes to it with an Arduino instead. 13 Hex instead of the default DC1 (11 Hex) : Normal Display Mode I'd like to set it to DC3 : Horizontal Scroll Mode. I can send text to it through TeraTerm though a little usb to ttl serial adapter and can easily initialize it by pressing ESC then SHIFT "I" which is 0x1B 0x49 ![]() I salvaged a Samsung 20M102DA1 VFD that only needs 5V, GND and serial data to control.
